Info & Application to Host a Tournament

Tournament Application Process

Step 1: Submit Tournament Details

Step 3: Mail Fees

  • $250 payable to USA Hockey (USAH)
  • $50 payable to Rocky Mountain District (RMD)
  • $50 payable to CAHA, if hosting a full-ice Girls, Youth, or High School tournament
  • All fees must be paid by check and mailed to the Colorado Registrar.
  • If hosting multiple tournaments, you may combine all USA Hockey fees on one check, all RMD fees on one check, and all applicable CAHA fees on one check. You must still submit the required forms for each individual tournament.

Additional Fee: $12.50 per game for full-ice Girls, Youth, and High School tournaments (capped at 100 games for CAHA members). This fee will be invoiced after the event.

Deadline: All documents must be received at least three weeks before the event begins.

Required Electronic Scoring

All Youth and Girls tournaments, excluding cross-ice or half-ice jamborees and pond tournaments, must use GameSheets electronic scoring.

Reminders

  • 6U and 8U jamborees cannot begin before November 15.
  • No tournaments may be held during CAHA year-end events, typically the first two weekends in March, unless pre-approved.
  • Canadian teams must submit a travel permit to the Affiliate Registrar at least two weeks before the event.
  • International teams must submit an Inbound Application for International Competition at least 30 days before the event. The host is responsible for paying the applicable USA Hockey fee.
