Glenwood Springs native Weatherred has monster weekend, earns weekly EHLP accolades
The EHL has announced that the EHLP Mid-Atlantic Conference Star of the Week is New Jersey Bears forward Jett Weatherred.
The Bears have found their groove, winning five of their last six and in their last two wins, they got major contributions from Weatherred, a Glenwood Springs native.
Weatherred assisted on a pair of power-play goals, including the game winner, in the Bears’ victory over the Philadelphia Little Flyers. He subsequently registered a four-point game in their commanding win over the Atlantic City Seals. This featured a game-winning goal.
New Jersey hosts the Union Jr. Thunder this Saturday.
Back home, Weatherred played for Glenwood Springs High School and the Glenwood Springs Grizzlies.
