Former Thunderbirds goalie Saville signs with AHL’s Eagles, assigned to ECHL’s Goatheads

The ECHL’s New Mexico Goatheads have received six players from the Colorado Eagles, the team’s AHL affiliate, for the 2026-27 season.

One of the six is Alaska native and former Colorado Thunderbirds star goalie Isaiah Saville.

Saville joins the Colorado Avalanche organization for the first time this season after signing an AHL contract with Colorado in September.

The 25-year-old appeared in 29 games with the ECHL’s Greenville Swamp Rabbits last season and also went 6-1-2 with a 1.91 goals-against average, a .916 save percentage and two shutouts in eight AHL appearances with the Ontario Reign.

A fifth-round selection of the Vegas Golden Knights in the 2019 NHL Draft, Saville has appeared in 48 career AHL games.
